A Walk 'Round the Ave

The Ave is one of the most symbolic places around the UW. Today we had to go to visit different types of businesses and ask them some questions about the items they sell and more.
I went with my friend Memo we walk up the Ave, first we went to an Indian food restaurant even tough the owner was really busy he answered all our questions but I found really hard to understand some of them. Then we visited a store called Wodly Mamooth Shoes where the girl was really nice and I asked where the name of the store came from and she said that it was the nickname of the first owner they even have a picture of him and he was really hairy man. After that we to a restaurant called Flowers also in this store the girl was really kind, we asked her what kind of food do they sell and she said that they sell vegan food and salads, we also asked what are the item that they sell the most and of course she said IPA beer for $5 and they open from 11:00 am to 2:00 am it was a really nice place I'd like to go back later to eat something. Then we visited a cigarettes store called Sam's Smoke Store and the owner was a nice Indian man he said that Marlboro are the most popular cigarettes and he's been the owner of the store for 22 years. After that we went to Piece of Mind a tobacco store but here the man got mad when Memo asked him if he sell something else besides tobacco, he said he wouldn't answer any more questions.
In general I think the Ave is a great place where you can find almost everything. I love the Ave.

  1. hI mONY,

An iconic place, uh? I feel good you came across indian people to listen to their really strong speaking accent. I personally love it. And you also came to find out that these guys came to the US and opened many stores which have become profitable bussiness wherever you go! Theyare very hard workers.

I would like you to tell me more about the IPA beer which sounds really unknown to me! It is something new to me, and let me tell you I know about beer!

Indians and muslims are generally quite serious, and you should not feel insulted if they do not answer back to you. That's just the way they are! And finally, you are totally right about your perception. The Ave, I can tell, is by far, one the most active areas in whole downtown and west Seattle!
